Words

There stands a young girl,
starring into a mirror.
She has never seen what she is worth.
Believing that she is fat and ugly,
She starves herself,
not caring what it does to her health.
She just wants to feel perfect.

She is picked on for being so thin,
so now she resorts to making marks,
in her skin.
As she makes the permanent marks,
she feels her sadness bleed out of her.
The feeling she gets makes her want to do it
more and more.
But as the marks multiply
people pick on her more.
She never lets others tell her how important she is.
She never wanted to deal with what she does,
sick and tired of the names and words that hurt her
so much.
She decides to end it.
End the pain and torment she knows so well.
To escape those that made her lose hope...
In herself.
She never believed that everyone is beautiful,
no matter what others say.
What people don't know is...
Words hurt,
